Eight stories span a distance where trappers, pioneers, the 49ers, and the Pony Express once passed through. You will see the trials and triumph of their story as told through huge murals, displays, lighting, and narration. One Archway Parkway. Open Monday through Sunday.

ImageThe Trails and Rails Museum traces the history of transportation through Buffalo County on the site where the Mormon Trails once passed. Displays include a Union Pacific steam engine, and 1898 depot, 1898 church, 1880s Freighters' Hotel, and 1871 school house, and archives of the area. Located at 710 West 11th Street, the museum is open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Monday, 10 am - 5 pm. Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am - 8 pm. Sunday, 1-5 pm. Admission is free.
